PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC / MENA Newswire / — H.H. The meeting reviewed friendship ties between the UAE and the Czech Republic and examined cooperation across political, economic and development fields. The discussions also covered joint efforts that serve mutual interests and support development priorities in both countries, according to details released by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the UAE’s interest in strengthening cooperation with the Czech Republic and expanding constructive collaboration between the two countries. The meeting formed part of his Prague visit, which coincided with senior-level UAE engagement in European policy discussions held in the Czech capital.

    Bilateral cooperation reviewed

The two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern. The talks included discussion of the UAE’s account of missile and drone attacks it said targeted civilian sites and facilities in the country, as well as the reported implications for international maritime security, energy supplies and the global economy.

The discussions also addressed drone attacks the UAE said were launched from Iraqi territory, including one it said targeted the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant and damaged an electricity generator outside the facility’s inner perimeter. The meeting took place against a backdrop of heightened regional security concerns involving critical infrastructure and transport routes.

    Czech solidarity expressed

Babiš expressed the Czech Republic’s solidarity with the UAE and condemned the attacks referenced during the talks. Sheikh Abdullah thanked the Czech Republic for its position and affirmed the safety of residents and visitors in the UAE. Saeed Al Hajeri, UAE Minister of State, attended the meeting.

The Czech prime minister hosted a luncheon in honor of Sheikh Abdullah and the accompanying delegation. The Prague meeting added to recent UAE diplomatic outreach in Europe, with the discussions centered on bilateral cooperation, shared concerns over regional developments and coordination on issues affecting stability, security and economic resilience.
