SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch direct flights between Sharjah and Gdansk beginning on Dec. 14, 2026, establishing a new route linking the UAE with northern Poland. The airline plans to operate five flights per week between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new route will enable residents of Poland’s Pomeranian region to access a direct air connection to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

Flights on Mondays and Saturdays will be operated by G9 0628, departing Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arriving in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return flight, G9 0629, will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and land in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will depart from Sharjah at 8:15 a.m. The return service will leave Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and reach Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah after the airline’s December expansion takes effect. The airline already operates services to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE. Additionally, flights to Katowice are scheduled to begin on Dec. 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk route’s launch. The Katowice flights will run four times weekly, adding another Polish city to the airline’s expanding network.

Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland

The new Gdansk route introduces a Baltic coast destination into Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline also serves key European hubs including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport caters to the broader Tri-City metropolitan area of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland. The airport facilitates both domestic and international flights for leisure and business travelers in the region.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali stated that Gdansk would broaden the carrier’s footprint within Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian area and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for onward flights to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, these new flights will connect Gdansk passengers with Air Arabia’s extensive network through its Sharjah hub.

Scheduled five-times-a-week flights commence in December

Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network and has opened reservations for the Gdansk route. The airline’s timetable lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 handling the return flights. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will use flights G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the route will be nonstop in both directions.

The route’s launch on Dec. 14 will extend Air Arabia’s direct service options to Poland shortly before the carrier begins flights to Katowice. With existing services to Krakow and Warsaw, these December additions will bring the total Polish destinations served by the airline from Sharjah to four. Gdansk will feature five flights weekly, while Katowice will operate four flights per week under the announced schedule. The airline confirms that the Gdansk service’s start date and frequency remain scheduled for December 2026.
