SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to initiate nonstop flights connecting Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport beginning on November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times weekly, enhancing the direct travel options between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers with access to two different airports serving Amman. The newly introduced flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 departs from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. Its return, G9 170, departs from Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations for the service are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency partners. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first scheduled flight.
The addition of the Sharjah route expands Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates routes connecting Zayed International Airport with both Queen Alia International Airport and Amman City Airport. Meanwhile, the group also offers direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah provides another departure point for travelers heading to Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian airport joins Sharjah flight network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new service offers travelers an additional airport choice in Amman. He emphasized that the new connection will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will maintain its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a secondary gateway into Jordan via Air Arabia’s Sharjah schedule.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi introduced flights to Amman City Airport, commencing on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Before launching the second Amman airport, the Abu Dhabi-based operation already served Queen Alia International Airport. When the new service started, Air Arabia announced that the expanded Abu Dhabi schedule offered 10 weekly flights to Amman. This two-airport approach will now be extended to Sharjah as well.
Four flights per week strengthen UAE-Jordan travel links
Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will be identified by the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also offers SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers are encouraged to book the new Amman City Airport flights via the airline’s standard sales channels ahead of the November start date.
The November launch broadens the connections operated by Air Arabia Group between the UAE and Jordan through multiple hubs. Passengers from Sharjah will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, passengers from Abu Dhabi already have services to both airports through Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Alexandria offers a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah will add four weekly flights to the group’s broader Jordan schedule.
