RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to recommence nonstop daily flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route reestablishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are already available through the airline’s sales outlets. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. The airline announced the route’s revival on October 6.

This daily operation will provide travelers with an additional direct connection between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city situated along Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The recent announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it disclose the aircraft model planned for the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not yet released flight numbers for the October restart. Passengers are advised to check current schedules when booking.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali expressed enthusiasm about bringing back the route. He stated that the daily flights would facilitate a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted the demand for travel between the two locations. The announcement emphasized connectivity, flight frequency, and the confirmed date of restart, but did not include passenger volume forecasts or traffic estimates for the route. No operational adjustments beyond the flight resumption were announced.
Expansion of Ras Al Khaimah’s Flight Network with Daily Flights
The reinstated Kozhikode route will join several other international flights from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia’s nonstop destinations from the emirate include Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. Kozhikode will rejoin this network starting October 16. The airline began its operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014 and has maintained it as one of its UAE bases since then.
The initial launch of the Ras Al Khaimah to Kozhikode route took place on November 22, 2023. At that time, the schedule included three flights weekly, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights used Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights. However, the airline has yet to confirm if the original flight numbers will be reinstated or specify the operating times for the new schedule.
Tickets Now Available for October 16 Service Restart
Passengers can purchase tickets via the airline’s website, call center, or through travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed alongside the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode flights ceased or the reasons behind the interruption. It also did not disclose the starting fares for the resumed flights or aircraft allocation details. The only confirmed information pertains to the route, daily operation, and the October 16 restart date.
The route’s return restores a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala after nearly three years since its initial opening. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule. It will continue to link the two airports directly without intermediate stops. For precise flight times, fares, or flight numbers, travelers are encouraged to review current booking data prior to travel. Beyond the daily restart, Air Arabia has not announced any further adjustments to the Kozhikode route.
