The UAE president, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcomed Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda, who is currently in the UAE. At the meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Rwandan President Paul Kagame. He gave condolences to the UAE President and the people following the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He emphasized his countless humanitarian contributions to Africa and the world.
Kagame congratulated Sheikh Mohamed on his appointment as President of the UAE and wished the UAE further prosperity and development. Furthermore, he expressed his keenness to expand UAE-Rwanda cooperation across different sectors in the near future. UAE President expressed his gratitude towards President Kagame for his sincere feelings toward the UAE and its people, and wished Rwanda continued growth and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; and Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President.
